![]() Solar radiation modification (SRM) is one potential approach to partially counteract anthropogenic warming by reflecting a small proportion of the incoming solar radiation to increase Earth's albedo. 17 Division of Ecology and Biodiversity, School of Biological Sciences, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China.Īs the effects of anthropogenic climate change become more severe, several approaches for deliberate climate intervention to reduce or stabilize Earth's surface temperature have been proposed.16 Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, 14850.15 Atmospheric Chemistry, Observations, and Modeling Laboratory, National Center for Atmospheric Research, Boulder, CO 80301.14 Department of Environmental Sciences, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ 08901-8551.13 Institut de Recherche en Biologie Végétale, Département de Sciences Biologiques, Université de Montréal, Montréal, Québec, Canada H1X 2B2.12 Department of Plant and Microbial Biology, University of Minnesota, St.11 Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN 37996.10 Computational Earth Sciences Group, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, TN 37831. ![]() 9 Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior, University of Minnesota, St.8 Institute on the Environment, University of Minnesota, St.7 School of Earth Environmental and Marine Science, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Edinburg, TX 78539.6 Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, Millbrook, NY 12545.4 Department of Botany and Plant Sciences, University of California, Riverside, CA 92521 5 Advanced Science Research Center at the Graduate Center, City University of New York, New York, NY 10031.3 Department of Ecology and Evolution, Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY 11794-5245.2 Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior Program, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824.1 Department of Integrative Biology, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824.The concert is organized by Archivio Conz in collaboration with Peter Kersten. Sprenger currently released the album Stack Music on PAN. Konrad Sprenger is the pseudonym of Joerg Hiller, a composer, music producer and artist based in Berlin. He approaches the strings of the guitar as frequency generators, tuned and set into motion by electronically controlled mechanical actions. In 2004 Ellen Fullman recorded the album Ort in collaboration with Konrad Sprenger on Choose Records. The Long String Instrument was first issued on Apollo Records in 1985.įullman's work was cited by Alvin Lucier in his Music 109: Notes on Experimental Music The performance will be accompanied by an exhibition of works from the collection Francesco Conz.Įllen Fullman has been developing the Long String Instrument for over 30 years exploring the acoustics of large resonant spaces with her compositions and collaborative improvisations. Hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, cabrette, Indian harmonium, guitar, bass, percussion… An immersion in the bumblebees of the Iron Age, an inundation by sound continuums - a folklore of the future past.Īrchivio Conz is overjoyed to announce the concert of Ellen Fullman and Konrad Sprenger. The evening ends with La Tène in an expanded workforce: Alexis Degrenier, Cyril Bondi and Laurent Peter (aka d'incise) invite Guilhem Lacroux, Jérémie Sauvage, Louis Jacques and Jacques Puech. His performances are put into perspective with organ pieces by György Ligeti interpreted by Shin-Young Lee, including the famous Volumina. He presents another facet of his practice, this time purely electronic, with Tone Patterns and Noise Patterns, two mirror projects that are based on the 1-BIT devices of which he has the secret. An oversized instrument built in situ with vibrating strings over twenty meters long - for an incredible listening experience.Īfter Infinity Gradient and Drift Multiply in 2021, Tristan Perich is back in Strasbourg. The American composer, performer and instrument maker, collaborator of Pauline Oliveros and specialist in natural intonation installs her Long String Instrument in the nave of the church. This fourth volume unfolds in three stages, with the exceptional presence of Ellen Fullman. The high point of sound experimentation once again poses its speakers at the Saint-Paul church and continues to draw the panorama of a plural and alternative musical creation. We enter the space as if inside a gigantic instrument, a sound belly, a resonance box on the scale of the place where the low and high frequencies vibrate. ![]()
